Check it out. I did it for myself. And for Scott. Because he previously said that if it were free he'd take it, but he'd never pay for it again.

    Got your back Scottie.

  • I never understand why people get up in arms about political figures having affairs, and ask them to step down from their position. I will never understand how the two are related. It's sort of like, if my boss found out that I LOVE anal sex, and then insist that I resign. I don't understand how people insist that someone's personal (especially romantic and sexual) life effects their professional life.

Am I wrong here? Am I the only person who feels this way?

Oh, and turns out MJ did have a Will. THANK GOD. Poor kids.

Oh also, something cool... check out this Slickdeal thread that talks about a website where you can trade your DVD's, books, CD's, etc., with other people for stuff you want. http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=1427457

  • You gotta be kiddin' me...

Heard on NPR this morning that Michael Jackson does not have a valid Will. The last one he wrote was back in 2002, which was can't include all of his kids I don't think (one of them is seven, so it's iffy). But it sounds like even that Will is questionable.

Who has that much money, and doesn't make a Will?? Even if it's only for something like, "My mother gets custody of my children" or something.

    Then again... it's Michael Jackson.

The probate paralegal here thinks that his estate will likely be found insolvent anyway (owe more than you have), so that's likely why he didn't bother.

    (sigh).

In the meantime, my iPhone got trashed over the weekend (throw into a pool along with my husband - it was in his pocket), so I'm operating iPhoneless. I hate it. It makes me feel... out of touch. I have no idea what the weather will be.

  • Dad strikes again!

So my dad is going through bankruptcy. I just got a frantic call from him, because his lawyer is saying that the Trustees (the people who negotiate your bankruptcy) are eyeballing his sale of the Honda to me. They do it like this:

    Car was worth $7,000.00
I paid $3,000.00 (a little more, but whatevs)
Therefore, there is $4,000.00 that dad didn't collect from me that he could have used to pay off creditors...
Therefore, I have $4,000.00 in asset that should have been his...
Therefore, I owe the Trustee process (dad's creditors) $4,000.00. Me. I do. I am to pay $4,000.00.

That didn't add up to me. So I called my friend within the firm who is a bankruptcy lawyer. She had bad news for me. That's true. I do owe them $4,000.00, and if I tell them to stick it, they WILL sue me for it.

The good news is that it's negotiable. I'll likely have to pay about $1,500.00 or so (I hope). But the problem is that we don't even have THAT much money.

I'm trying to look on the bright side of this, which is that we still will have gotten a nice car for like, less than $5,000.00. The bad news is, this is the worst time for this to happen. We're so broke. Rand's hours are being cut left and right, I still haven't gotten my raise (or my firing), so we're stretching and stretching our money, and it's getting to the end. So for this to come up now, is pretty awful.

I'm very scared to tell Rand. He's gonna hit the roof. Like, I'll have to talk him down off a building. He's going to be so livid. Beyond livid.
